Agritourism in Kentucky
During the years before the Tobacco Quota Buyout, tobacco farmers were having a hard time making ends meet. Some had to quit growing tobacco while others reduced the amount of tobacco that they grew. With the idea of agritourism a few setup tours and opened up their farms to tourists. By doing so they share the agricultural heritage and industry to their fellow Kentuckians or passing travelers both national and international.
